Are you looking for fun games that teach children about the gospel? Try these 10 minute to win it games, which teach children lessons from the New Testament. These are perfect for family scripture study as well as Sunday school lessons.

1. Fisher of Men

  • Scripture Reference: Matthew 4:19
  • What You Need: Plastic fish, magnets, string, and a small pole or stick.
  • How to Play: Create a fishing pole with a magnet and have kids “fish” for plastic fish with Bible verses written on them. The goal is to catch as many “men” (fish) as possible in one minute.

2. The Fruit of the Spirit Sort

  • Scripture Reference: Galatians 5:22-23
  • What You Need: Cards labeled with fruits and non-fruits of the Spirit (e.g., kindness, anger).
  • How to Play: Players sort cards into two piles: Fruit of the Spirit vs. Not Fruit of the Spirit, within a minute.

3. Feed My Sheep

  • Scripture Reference: John 21:15-17
  • What You Need: Cotton balls (representing sheep) and a spoon.
  • How to Play: Players transfer as many “sheep” (cotton balls) as possible from one bowl to another using only a spoon in one minute.

4. The Lost Coin Search

  • Scripture Reference: Luke 15:8-10
  • What You Need: Plastic or chocolate coins hidden in a designated area.
  • How to Play: Players search for as many hidden coins as they can in one minute, celebrating like the woman who found her lost coin

5. The Good Samaritan Relay

  • Scripture Reference: Luke 10:25-37
  • What You Need: A bandage roll or strips of fabric, and a doll or stuffed toy.
  • How to Play: Players wrap the doll to “bandage” its wounds as quickly as possible within a minute, symbolizing the Good Samaritan’s kindness.

6. Walls of Jericho Tumble

  • Scripture Reference: Hebrews 11:30 (linked to the Old Testament story but mentioned in the New Testament)
  • What You Need: Plastic cups or blocks stacked like a wall and a soft ball.
  • How to Play: Players knock down the “walls” by throwing the ball within a minute.
