18 Bible Verses for When You Are Depressed

If you’re like me and sometimes you get the blues reading the scriptures always helps me remember that Heavenly Father can and will help me. So, Next time you’re not feeling the best, you can read through these comforting Bible verses to help you find peace, hope, and strength during difficult times:
- Psalm 34:18
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”- A reminder that God is near to those who are hurting.
- Matthew 11:28-30
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”- Jesus invites you to find rest and comfort in Him.
- Isaiah 41:10
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”- A powerful assurance of God’s presence and support.
- Psalm 42:11

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”- A beautiful reminder of God’s unfailing love and mercy.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”- Encouragement to trust in God even when life feels uncertain.

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”- God is always there to provide refuge and strength.
