Day 4: The Joy of Service

Scripture Reading:
โ€œFor even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.โ€ โ€“ Mark 10:45

Reflection:
Service lies at the heart of Christian life. Jesus, our ultimate example, humbled Himself to serve others, even washing the feet of His disciples. His life teaches us that true greatness is found not in being served but in serving others with love and humility.

When we serve, we step into Godโ€™s calling to be His hands and feet on earth. Acts of service, big or small, have the power to reflect His love and bring hope to those in need. Service doesnโ€™t always require grand gesturesโ€”it might look like lending a listening ear, helping a neighbor, or praying for someone in their struggles.

Through service, we align our hearts with Godโ€™s and experience the joy that comes from giving selflessly. Itโ€™s in these moments that we often feel Godโ€™s presence most profoundly.

Practical Tip:
Find a way to serve someone today. Look for opportunities in your community, church, or even your own home. Whether itโ€™s making a meal, offering encouragement, or volunteering your time, let your actions reflect Godโ€™s love.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for showing me the true meaning of service through Your Son, Jesus. Help me to serve others with a humble heart, seeing each act of kindness as an opportunity to share Your love. Give me eyes to see where Iโ€™m needed and the courage to respond. In Jesusโ€™ name, Amen.

Challenge:
Identify one person or group in need and commit to serving them this week. Write down how youโ€™ll serve and pray for God to work through your actions.

Key Verse for Memorization:
โ€œWhatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.โ€ โ€“ Colossians 3:23
